Word Everest: Vocabulary Game

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-20 · Publisher: LOKO TECHNOLOGIES LTD. (British Columbia, Canada)

Word Everest is a word game that keeps to itself. The short version: we do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no account of its own.

Data we collect

None. Word Everest has no server of ours, no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporter that phones home. We cannot see your climbs, your scores, your coins, the words you miss or save, your settings, or whether you play at all. The App Store privacy label for this app is “Data Not Collected.”

Data that stays on your device

What the game keeps, it keeps in its own storage on your device:

  • Your climbs, stars, records and passes
  • The words you missed and the ones you saved
  • Today’s ladder and the past ones you have played
  • Your settings, such as your difficulty, gloss language, reminder time and appearance

Uninstalling the game removes all of it. If you back up your iPhone or iPad, the game’s data is part of that backup, which is held by Apple or on your own computer, never by us.

Coins and iCloud

Your coin balance, and the record of the coins Plus has already added, are kept in your own iCloud account, through Apple’s iCloud, so reinstalling the game or playing on your other iPhone or iPad keeps them. That storage belongs to your Apple Account. We cannot read it, and nothing in it identifies you to us.

Game Center

Leaderboards, achievements and challenges with friends use Apple’s Game Center, if you are signed in to it on your device. Your scores and your Game Center name then go to Game Center, under Apple’s terms, and other players can see them on the leaderboards. We never receive them. You can play every part of the game without Game Center, and sign out of it in your device’s Settings.

Notifications

The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device, only if you ask for it. There is no push service, no device token, and no server that knows when or whether you play.

Sharing and Acumo

When you share a solved ladder, it goes through your device’s own share sheet, to wherever you choose; the game sends nothing by itself. Study in Acumo opens the word in Acumo on your device, or Acumo’s page in the App Store if it is not installed. Neither app learns anything about you from the other.

Purchases

Coin packs and the Plus subscription are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the game only whether a purchase or a subscription is valid. You manage or cancel Plus in your Apple Account’s subscriptions, never with us. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third parties

Word Everest contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party SDKs. Apart from Apple’s own services above, it talks to no one.

Children

Word Everest is a general-audience word game. It collects no data from anyone, of any age, and it has no chat and no way to message other players.

Content licences

The game’s words, meanings and examples come from the collection of Acumo, written for it. Pronunciations and sound-alike words come from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (Carnegie Mellon University, BSD licence), whose notice is reproduced in full in the game under Settings, then About, then Acknowledgements, with the licences of its two typefaces.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at the same address. Material changes will also be noted in the game’s release notes.
